11 Oct My Salento
When I came in Morciano di Leuca for the first time it was love at first sight. Morciano is a small town in the southern Salento. Its location is strategic because it is 3 km from the sea and are within easy reach of famous tourist resorts success as Santa Maria di Leuca, Gallipoli, Otranto and Lecce capital. The history of this town has ancient origins that have given rise to a set of stories hard to forget. A historical center made up of small houses at court and a real set of underground tunnels which once formed the economy of this territory. In fact, I often run into barns and mills.
Dominating the city is the castle and the Church. Lately, thanks to the commitment and work of local operators and the city administration is carrying out an intensive tourism recovery work to make those beauties.
Torre Vado is the marina of Morciano di Leuca is situated on the Ionian Sea and is a popular destination in tourism thanks to its crystal clear sea and also to the possibility of accompanying the cliff at the nearby beach of Marina di Pescoluse. The main feature of Torre Vado is the presence of an old Tower Coast, today’ private residence, overlooking the marina. Torre Vado in the evening turns into a cozy stroll through pleasant summer evenings, you can find rides for the kids and many stands with local products. During the summer, thanks to the excursions you can visit the beauty of the place that will make you appreciate even more these places holiday is synonymous with relaxation and fun. From this year I accompany tourists to visit the olive trees of these places, and for the Puglia region are Italian natural heritage.
